Also, the year saw about $2,249 million across 98 deals in Private Equity by the end of September. This shows that the year saw the investors acting bullish on high-risk startups, particularly in the IT, Mobile, and e_commerce sectors. This trend predicts that 2012 would see a similar aggressiveness in the investment and hiring scenario.

Steve Jobs' Rebirth on Silver Screen!!!!!!!!!

We won't be really surprised to know that the high-profile producers of "This Is It" with Michael Jackson and "The Social Network" with Mark Zuckerberg are ready to do it again with Apple co-founder Steve Jobs .

Sony Pictures Entertainment accomplished to buy film rights to the authorized biography "Steve Jobs" from Walter Isaacson, according to a person who was briefed on the deal. As the studio has not authorized a public statement, the person spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The biography penned by Isaacson was likely to be released on 21st November. But the release has been shifted to 24th of this month post the death of iGod. The Former CNN chairman and Times Magazine's managing director has included over 40 interviews of Jobs in the book. The making of the movie is based on the biography. But the main focus is now on who will be playing computer wizard, Jobs. Acclaimed Hollywood actors such as Noah Wyle, Samuel L Jackson, Daniel Day-Lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio, are a few who moviegoers have listed out.

Going by Apple's trademark, "i", "iSteve" and "iJobs" are among the first off titles at anyone's tongue. Apple's most famous punch line "Think Different" launched in 1997 and Apple's "Switch" campaign is also looked for the movie title.

Traditionally, movies have been developed slowly and hardly ever tackled current events, as situation, interest and the national mood. But of late, there is a change seen and it took years to get a picture on track. Taking advantage of faster digital production techniques, studios showed a new willingness to keep tempo with the increasing pace of the media world. After Michael Jackson's bereavement, the studio had his concert film, "This Is It" in theaters within months. "The Social Network" which was made despite the fact that the studio did not acquire Zuckerberg's life rights, and was partly based on, Ben Mezrich's "The Accidental Billionaires" was rushed to publication.

According to the reports, it said that Sony agrees to pay $1million advance against a total of $53 million for Jobs book. Sony will certainly join its producing partners, the MG/360 team, that pairs with Mark Gordon and Management 360, in putting a movie on screen, although the memory of Jobs and his achievements are still fresh.

5 Recession-Proof Businesses!!!

Luxury Retail

Recession does not affect everybody. In the last recession period, the number of billionaires in the world increased by 20 percent according to Newsweek, and these billionaires do not get affected by recession. These nouveau rich still opt for designer handbags and accessories at big designer houses. However, those designer houses that cater to the aspirational rich and people with modest incomes who like to show the feel of status-symbol brands, fail or suffer

Education

During recession, when several companies chop their employees out, B-School admissions are on a rise.
This is due to several ambitious professionals consider their positions and how best to progress their careers for when the inevitable upswing occurs. This uptick in students means increases demand for college professors, which is another tremendous job opportunity during recession.

Information Technology

Even after the bursting of information technology bubble, which played the key role in the recession of the early 2000s, it is still the fastest growing sector in the world. It is possible just because the IT sector is not confined to tech companies. For example, if you handle a large amount of data, then you will need databases to store the relevant information, network to share it among employees and software to make sense of it all. This not only creates demand for the company's who create these products, but also the in-house tech experts that implement and maintain them.

Healthcare

There is no reason for the illness to take a break during recession. Rather, during recession, some of the branches in this sector see a boom, such as physiatrists and counselors. People are so mentally imbalanced that they seek the help of these professionals to be relived from it.

Internet Marketing

During recession, people tend to go online shopping more than the usual go and buy trend. It is just due to those special offers and discounts that these sites provide. Even you can cut the business expenses, as you do not need to hire a huge chunk of professionals to handle the business at once. It is safe to be where the customers are looking at and almost all internet-marketing strategies require more of your time and less of your money compared to traditional

A Speech of Mukesh Ambani on Modi in PDP Univ

Reliance Industries Limited chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani praised Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi for putting Gujarat on the world map. "You have made India and Indians proud by putting Gujarat on the global map.The world is taking note of Gujarat's model and your flawless execution. Gujarat is blessed to have an inspiring leader like you. All I can say is thank you," said Ambani at the second convocation of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) on Tuesday with Modi also present on the dais.

Ambani president and chairman of PDPU.Ambani addressed the students and said Gujarat needs to take
more innovative steps in the energy sector. "Energy has the highest potential for doing good work today and technology will play an important role. Energy consumption in the world is projected to increase to 17 billion tonnes of crude oil equivalent by 2030.

According to him, India and China would account for one third of global energy consumption. India needs to create six times the energy infrastructure it currently has, he said, adding there is tremendous promise in alternate energy like solar, biofuel and fuel cells.Commenting on the opportunities in research, he told students, "I wish I was 25 years younger and in your place. It reminds me of a time when I felt all impossible things were possible. If an arid land in Jamnagar can be converted into the refining capital of the world and if a sleepy village in Gujarat can become the automotive hub of Asia, I feel anything can be done."The event was also attended by veteran banker and new chairman of Infosys Limited, K V Kamath and chairman of Torrent Group Sudhir Mehta besides other experts from the energy sector. As many as 409 under-graduate and post-graduate students of PDPU's constituent schools - School of Petroleum Technology, School of Petroleum Management and School of Nuclear Energy, were awarded degrees.Modi, who was the chief guest at the convocation, said, "I would like to congratulate Mukesh Ambani for creating a gem like PDPU in Ahmedabad and contributing to the state's human resources.

We do not want to see a world of robots, we want good human resources. Innovation and risk-taking abilities are the road to success." Modi also invited students to incubate at the state government's incubation initiative-icreate, which was launched two weeks ago.

How Popular Tech Companies Got Their Names!

Apple
It was the favorite fruit of Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, who was three months late in filing the name for his company. He threatened to call his company Apple Computers, if the other colleagues didn't suggest a better name by 5 O'clock. This name helped Apple to distance itself from the other cold, unapproachable, complicated image created by other computers like IBM, DEC and Cincom.
Cisco
The company was founded in San Francisco by Len Bosack, Sandy Lerner, and Richard Triano. The name was derived from the name of the city,
San Francisco. Thus, the company's engineers insisted on using the lower case "cisco" in the early days.

Compaq

The company was founded in 1982 by Rod Canion, Jim Harris, and Bill Murto--who were senior managers in a semiconductor manufacturer Texa
s Instruments. The name "COMPAQ" was said to be derived from "Compatibility and Quality", but it was a name suggested by a name consulting company on several occasions--and it was the one which was not rejected.

Google

Sergey Brin and Larry Page had originally nicknamed their search engine "BackRub" as the system checked backlinks (any link received by
a web node from another web node), to estimate the importance of a site. Eventually, they changed the name to Google, which originated from a misspelling of the word "googol" (the number one followed by one hundred zeros). The name was picked to signify the large quantities of information the search engine wanted to provide to the people.
Hotmail
Hotmail was founded by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith, and was commercially launched in 1996. The name 'Hotmail', was chosen out of many
possibilities ending in '-mail', as it included the letters HTML (the encoding language used by the World Wide Web). Thus, to emphasize it, the original type casing was "HoTMaiL".
Hewlett Packard

The company was founded in Palo Alto, California by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. Packard and Hewlett decided the name of the
company (Packard-Hewlett or Hewlett-Packard) by tossing a coin, which Packard won. But, Packard decided to name the company "the Hewlett Packard Company", and the company was incorporated in 1947.
Intel

Intel was founded in 1968 in Mountain View, California by Gordon E. Moore, Robert Noyce, and Arthur Rock. Moore and Noyce wanted to call
the company "Moore Noyce", but the name was a homophone for "More noise". Noise in electronics refers to bad interference and is very undesirable. Hence, they used the name "NM Electronics" for almost a year before they finalized on "Integrated Electronics-'Intel'" for short. The name "Intel" was already trademarked by Intelco, a chain of hotels; thus, they had to buy the rights for the name.
Lotus

Lotus was founded in 1982 by Mitch Kapor and Jonathan Sachs. The name was derived from 'The Lotus Position' or "Padmasana", by Kapor, who
was a teacher of Transcendental Meditation of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Thus, the name "Lotus" referred to the three ways the product could be used--as a spreadsheet, graphics package, and database manager.
Microsoft

Microsoft was founded by Paul Allen and Bill Gates, who wanted to use a name to represent the company's devotion to MICROcomputer SOF
Tware, and named the company "Micro-Soft". The '-' was later removed to form "Microsoft".
Motorola
Victrola was an internal horn machine, designed by Eldridge R. Johnson, which was later acquired by its Canadian counterpart, Berliner
Gramophone of Canada in 1924. William (Bill) Lear and Elmer Wavering--both employees of Galvin Manufacturing Company--developed the first practical car radio, which was named "Motorola" by Paul Galvin (the name is a combination of "motor" and "Victrola"). Paul Galvin purchased the patents to the automotive radio and acquired the rights to their trade name "Motorola".

Steve Jobs biography releasing this November by Isaacson - Eagerly awaiting for!!!!

Bangalore: Apple CEO Steve Jobs authorized biography written by Walter Isaacson is reportedly all set to release before time on Nov.21, 2011, The original date of its release was 2012 reveals Apple Insider.

Bookseller Barnes & Noble has preponed the publication date for the title to November and unfolded the new cover, which portrays an icoconic black-and-white photograph of Steve Jobs.

However, Apple's iBooks and the hardcover version from Amazon still list the book's release date as March 6, 2012.

According to publisher Simon & Schuster's description of the book, Jobs has not restricted over what was written nor did he permit the right to read it before it was published. He has put nothing out of bounds and instead inspired the people he knew to speak honestly even foes, former girlfriends, and colleagues he had once fired or infuriated.

Steve Jobs personality and products were interrelated, just as Apple's hardware and software tended to be, part of an integrated system. Jobs story is informative and exemplary, modified with lessons about innovation, character, leadership, and values.

"iSteve: The Book of Jobs," was the books original title but after Isaacson's wife and daughter said it was "too cutesy." the title was converted into a "simpler and more elegant" title. Isaacson has written biographies on Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein.

Reports from The New York Times revealed the project last year, Steve Jobs may have "more of an interest in regulating his inheritance" after recent health struggles. Recently, he has survived pancreatic cancer, undergone a liver transplant and tried hard to maintain his weight. The CEO is currently on a medical leave, though he continues to involve in strategic decisions for the company.

The residences allotted to the Ministers and MLAs, Government quarters and secretariat buildings are lit up with solar power street lights. Solar photovoltaic panels are fixed on the CM’s residence’s roof top which is now regularly generating 80 units of electricity every day. The rooftop has two plants of capacity 10 Kilowatts. Counting at Rs. 15 per unit, it produces 4.38 lacs rupees of electricity with 29.200 units per year.

Hon’ble CM conveyed a statement while inaugurating 1 Megawatt solar plant project near PDPU last January that Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara and other cities can soon produce electricity and earn by selling it to the Government

Sources from JEDA confirmed that, if any household, businessman or industrial firm produces more than 10 kilowatts of electricity within their premises then government would purchase it and convert it into main grid. The State has fixed 15 Rs per unit according to ‘JERK’. JEDA has issued a tender for 10, 15, 20 and 25 Kilowatt projects. Aid standards and subsidies for rooftop system will be declared soon.

6 Reasons To Switch From Facebook To Google+

Ask Y B4 Migrate

If you are comparing the Google+ with Facebook, you are making a mistake as the Google+ was launched by the Google to give the company a whole new identity and the comparison should therefore be between the Facebook and the Google on the whole.
Although its true that Facebook has build up a huge reputation for itself over the years but considering the newest in-line features of the Google+, people may get more attracted to Google than the Facebook.

(1) The Google services IntegrationThe integration is one of the biggest cards that the Google has in its hands to win over the audience. Now, you might be wondering what the “integration” is? Its nothing but that all the Google’s existing online services like Gmail, Docs, Search features will be combined onto a single platform in the Google+ and you can do everything on the same site. Earlier people faced the inconvenience of having to switch from one site to another while going from mailing or surfing the net to social networking. Now that problem has been solved by the Google+

(2) You can manage your friends more efficiently
The “Circles” concept of the Google is far more comparable to our real life friend circles than the “ad hoc” group concept of the Facebook. Everyday, we interact with hundreds of people but not always in the same way. The Google+ lets you create different circles to which you can add different people you want. For example, you can create one circle for your family, one circle for your work people, one for your old classmates and as many as you want. The biggest touted perk is that you can share the things with the circle that you want and the other circles won’t ever know of it.

(3) You have better mobile apps
The Google+ has a lot better apps for the Android users, rather than Facebook. You will find that it’s a lot easier to get stuff on you Google+ profile than it ever was on Facebook. The huge Android user database that the Google has, is likely to be used by the company in the battle against Facebook.

(4) You can find the things you want to share more easily on Google+
This time the Google has done something that the Facebook will not be able to do, with the Google+ Spark. When you are networking on the Facebook, you often have to leave the site for finding the shareable information with your friends. Google+’ Spark is an instant solution to that problem. Google has optimized its search engine to provide instant search for finding stuff you wanna share. Since the Facebook doesn’t have a search engine, it is obvious that this feature can’t be provided by the Facebook.

(5) Data can be reclaimed
Facebook is seen as a poor steward of personal data but the Google+ has a better hand in this area. While on Facebook, you are made to make all your personal data go public and also its very hard to permanently delete a Facebook profile. The Google+, on the other hand, allows you to pick up all the data you have put on the profile and just walk away. This is done by a tool called “Data Liberation”, another clever trick from the Google+ to hook up customers.

(6) Better hangouts
Google+ provides better hangout than the Facebook with its group video chat. You can chat with up to ten people in the group video chat option. Forming ad hoc groups to have a little chat with people you know seems a little too fun.
